Delivering green energy for Leicestershire

Endurance Energy is pleased to be bringing forward proposals for a new solar farm off Shepshed Road, Hathern. The proposals will generate enough green energy to sustainably power the equivalent of 15,000 homes.

Increasing the proportion of power generated through renewable energy is key to tackling climate change and meeting both local and national government targets to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050.

We have now submitted a planning application for the proposals to Charnwood Borough Council and North West Leicestershire District Council. We would like to thank everyone who engaged with us during our consultation last year – these proposals have benefitted significantly from the involvement of the local community.

In response to comments from local residents and the planning authority, the southern section of the site has now been removed from the development, with no solar panels proposed in this area.
